JOHAN ANDERSSON appointed as CEO OF KINNEGRIP

02 oktober 2020 09:00

Kinnegrip manufactures dropside locking systems for transport vehicles and is one of the leaders in the branch. As an established manufacturer and supplier with more than fifty years of experience, we know what the market needs – cost-effective and safe solutions for transporting goods.

The board of Kinnegrip has taken the decision to appoint Johan Andersson as CEO.

Johan is a committed sales and market-driven leader with many years of experience as CEO and sales executive in the manufacturing industry. Johan comes most recently from the Emballator group, active in the packaging industry, where he has held various CEO positions working with strategic business development. Prior to that, Johan was working for the global automotive technology company Lear Corporation for 19 years. During his time at Lear, Johan was operating in Sweden, the USA and Germany. He started his career in the production and quickly worked his way up and got responsibilities as sales manager for the business with, for example, General Motors North America, the SAAB business in Sweden and as business area manager for Sweden.

I am very happy that we now have tied Johan Andersson to the company, who together with the rest of our strong team will realize our long-term plan. In Johan, we get a CEO with solid experience of commercial responsibilities in the automotive industry, efficient manufacturing processes and involved leadership. Johan comes in with a lot of energy and great ambitions to develop Kinnegrip. I am really looking forward to our future collaboration, says Chairman of the Board Gerth Svensson.

My perception of Kinnegrip is characterized by the strength of the brand, the company's fascinating entrepreneurial and innovation culture and competent employees. Kinnegrip is one of Europe's leading brands in locking systems for transport vehicles and it will be incredibly exciting to be able to contribute together with all customers and employees in the growth and transformation journey that the company has begun, says Johan Andersson.

Johan, who is 47 years old, lives with his wife and children in Trollhättan. He will take up his position at the turn of the year and until then Gerth Svensson, Kinnegrip's Chairman of the Board, will work as Acting CEO. Ingemar Andersson, the company's former CEO, who announced his decision to resign to the board earlier this year, will be available to the board for various priority projects during his notice period.
